Cave Castle Hotel in the East Riding of Yorkshire are rightly proud of their brand new fleet of golf buggies.
We were delighted to arrange the finance lease for their new buggies, acquired from Golf Buggies GB. We spoke to Golf Manager Jackie Dardis about the new fleet.
Getting around in style
The buggies are already proving to be hugely popular with golf break guests and golf club members, with the fleet fully booked out over a recent weekend.
Of course, the buggies are perfect for older golfers or those with health conditions, but younger players are booking them too. “Some players hire a buggy between them to spread the cost – no more carrying heavy clubs between holes on a hot day!” says Jackie.
"A buggy cuts the time for a round of golf from 4 hours to just 3 hours, leaving more time to relax in the hotel’s beautiful surroundings".
Cutting edge
Cave Castle’s electric fleet of EZGO RXV buggies uses cutting edge lithium technology. This makes them cheaper and greener to run, and at 16 stone lighter than a petrol buggy, they cause much less wear and tear on the course. “This means we can use the buggies for a longer season, which is great for our guests,” Jackie went on to explain.

"The silent electric motors make for a better, undisturbed game of golf for everyone, even those who aren’t using them – and mean no disturbance for neighbours whose gardens border the course".
"The lease agreement we arranged means peace of mind for Cave Castle too, as it includes a service contract for on-site maintenance and repairs".
Golf Buggies GB have been supplying the best golf buggies on the market for over 25 years, with a reputation for excellent support and maintenance. General Sales Manager Adam Ashton told us, "We were delighted to deliver this fleet of 25 EZGO RXV buggies to Cave Castle. It's great to see them in action on the course!"
Personal touch
The beautiful Cave Castle was built as a family home in 1875, and converted to a hotel over 50 years ago. The golf course was established in 1989 and attracts players from all over the UK, often booking their golf breaks 12 months in advance. Cave Castle has been owned by the Hogarth family for over 30 years and guests appreciate the personal touch which comes with a family business.
This is the first time Cave Castle has arranged finance through Scollick Business Finance, and Jackie found it a refreshing change from dealing with an impersonal call centre. “Rob dealt with the whole process from start to finish,” explains Jackie. “He kept us informed every step of the way and even visited the course in person to discuss our finance. I would highly recommend Rob and the team, and we will be back for our future finance needs.”
